What a year! The Covid-19 pandemic no doubt upended the 2020-2021 the college admissions process. Here are some of the major takeaways from last year and what to expect for the upcoming cycle for Fall 2022 admissions.

In the good ‘ole days, we could hop in the car or on a plane and visit campuses in-person. Although some campuses are gradually opening up to limited in-person visits, for those on a tight budget or who live far away, virtual tours are de rigeur. The good news is that colleges and music schools have really upped their virtual game to connect with students in an effort to make it as real as possible. Through all the changes during the past year due to COVID-19, grades and rigor of the curriculum are still the most important in the holistic college admissions process.
